Firstly, I did not discover this, I found it online and tried it out.

This is SO easy to do it just takes a *little* time. I practiced on my toes first, which was not necessary, both my fingers and toes came out perfect! :)

Total time (including all drying time): 1hr

Here's what you need-

>>>base nail color<<<

>>>top coat<<<

>>>rubbing alcohol<<<

>>>small dish<<<

>>>scissors<<<

>>>news paper<<<

First you need to apply any nail color you like as a base. Now, obviously with a lighter shade it is going to show up more so that would be your best bet. However, I did see a pic of someone who used a medium blue shade and it turned out really cute. I used 2 coats of Essie's Prima Ballerina on my fingernails and Sally Hansen's Beige on my toes. Now if you are applying your base color at the same time as the newspaper transfer, be 100% sure that your nail color is C O M P L E T E L Y dry. If you can not FIRMLY press your finger on your "should be" dry nails without smudging or marking them, wait.

Next you'll need to fill the small dish with rubbing alcohol. You don't need a lot, just enough to lay a strip on news paper in it, so that it is completely covered in alcohol.

Then you just cut strips of news print that are a little larger than your finger nail sizes.

To apply the news print to your nail, you just dip the news print cut out in the alcohol and hold it in there for 10 seconds. Shake off the excess alcohol and apply it to your fingernail, pressing down on the entire nail surface for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds, gently peel the paper back and the ink will have deposited to your nail! :) Now you just finish the rest of that hand and put on a top coat after that. The ink will rub off if you're not careful and bump it on something. Also when you apply the top coat, apply generously so the brush isn't dragging the ink and smearing the words.

And that's all, it's soooo easy. Hope you give it a try!
